Opening of the Siyakhula Kindergarten
On 28 February 2026, we celebrated the opening of the new Siyakhula kindergarten in Imizamo Yethu together with our partners and the community.
On 28 February 2026, the moment had finally arrived: the new Siyakhula kindergarten in Imizamo Yethu was officially opened.
What was once a run-down residential building has, after a complete renovation, become a true gem of the neighbourhood – and since 2 March 2026, a safe and joyful place for around 35 children.
The opening was a moving moment for everyone involved: for Mama Sindi and her team, for our partners at Help In Time, for the families of the children – and of course for us at the Keller Foundation.
